Nothing. That lake is purely backup. That's why it took so long to get the subs back open, they couldn't drain the sub lagoon until they were sure the DCA lake system was properly routed to keep the Matterhorn afloat with the lagoon empty. To reduce long term wear on the lake, the lake does act as the cooling system for Walt's frozen head, however the sub lagoon is still perfectly capable of maintaining both systems on its own during this work.
