Anybody tried reading "Alice in Wonderland" lately? It's a wordy bore. I think every filmed or staged version ever made is more enjoyable than the original.

And I include our high school version in that list.

Has anyone here seen Jan Swankmaier's surrealist take, Neco Z Alenky? It's a creepy mix of live action (Alice) and stop motion puppets (everyone else). If you liked the Quay brothers Street of Crocodiles, this is the Alice for you.

Helena Barnham Carter looks like Bozo the Clown. That's going to be hard to take serious if the look comes off that way in the movie.
