Congratulations CP and GD and welcome to the kidlet club!

I still have a few things from the girls put away in the garage if you're at all interested. Nothing gender specific, but stuff that you might be interested it!

I found out last Sunday and, MAN has it been hard to keep words from escaping. I've been so excited and I already have dibs on the LoT baby shower. Public Congratulations to you both!

As for names, Disquieting Metamorphosis is so perfect.

I can't wait to see the little bump grow, feel the kicks coming through skin, and seeing Jen pregnant! She's going to be adorable pregnant!

Any food cravings? (I thought icy cold cantelope was, pretty much, the best food there ever was.)

Any weird dreams? (I had a few strange ones involving kittens instead of babies.)

When do you start feeling the wiggling around? I forget. I don't think it's for another month or two is it?

My first suggestion: What to expect when your expecting it's a great book and apparently a website also.

After that, you two had better get started looking for that perfect pediatrician, pediatric dentist, day-care provider, summer camp, sports programs, orthodontist, college fund, etc...

Congratulations!!!

My only advice (were I to give any) would be to avoid What to Expect. I hate that book. Misinformation, fear tactics...yuck. But I won't give advice, because it's annoying and all the advice you get will be conflicting, and you'll end up doing whatever you want anyways and making lots of mistakes that you can learn from and then tell others how not to repeat in the form of friendly advice when they're pregnant. So, I'll just say, enjoy your pregnancy. :)

Huh. I wonder if it's changed in the last 13 years. We found it to be informative without all the fear tactics we were getting from everyone else....

Advice about advice, courtesy of the musical theatre. Find the song "The Ladies Singing Their Songs" from the musical 'Baby'. The whole show is great. but this song is priceless - and dead on.

Perhaps it was a different book, but I recall that this one seemed to follow the trail of "Here's what can go horribly wrong this week" or "at this point, here's what permanent damage you can do to your child"
