I heard this morning that by the time it gets up there it's supposed to downgrade to a category 1. Granted, still a hurricane, but at least it's the weakest one possible.

The zoo's concert season is almost over. Two more Friday concerts - Susan Tedeschi and Amos Lee. Tonight we had an impromptu meeting about a special concert event on September 5th.

As part of Oregon's 150th celebration, we're hosting the final performance of "Oregon! Oregon!" featuring the 234th Army Band and Pink Martini. I'll be handling backstage logistics.
