I'm just sitting in here with computer wires everywhere, a stack of summer associate applications, and a phone with mom's cell on redial. As days off go, this sucks.

David was given another P.O.S. vehicle. This time it was a 74 El Camino in really ugly shape. I think I mentioned it before, he isn't allowed to bring it home. Well...he has the thing running now and was given a good deal on a new windshield. He wants to get it done this weekend. I just got back from AAA. I had to pay $224 to change the title and register it. It hadn't been registered in over 2 years. David's reply was that the tags on it are 2005. 10-1 they were stolen tags. The previous owner (not the one who gave it to David) was a tweaker, so nothing with this car would surprise me.

Ill be shopping for a new car this weekend, but other than that, nothing planned.

We had a 'cold-front' come in yesterday, and so I'm going to do some much neglected yard work while the humidity and temperature are "reasonable"

We're the leftovers.... |
No plans here, either. Work tomorrow, then on Sunday the Girl and I are going kitty-shopping with my sis and her boy. They had a snow dog the last twelve years that liked to eat cats for lunch, so they have never been able to get one. The doggie passed away last week, so now they finally get to experience the joys of waking up at 3:00 AM with a kitten attacking their feet.:D

Yeah, all of his vehicles seem to be classics. None of them ever seem to look any better...
I think it is coming here, I have 2 things missing from in front of the house. He is probably switching it with his pickup. |
So...I left something at my office Friday that I needed this weekend, so having been told that Saturday access was fine, I went in to pick it up.
As soon as I open ed the door with my cool security card thing, I heard a beeping and realized they hadn't given me an alarm code. So the alarm starts going off. I had no phone numbers of anyone in the office. I called the alarm company (phone number was on the alarm), but I didn't have the password, so they wouldn't give me any info. After about 20 minutes of searching for a phone number, I found and called the emergency customer support line we have for customers of our software. The guy gave me his code to turn off the alarm. When I was ready to go I rearmed it (hopefully) with the same code. Sigh. Not a good thing. |
