.....I was at Target today. During my journey I wandered into the clothing department. I found a really cute pair of jeans, found my size and then went to look at the price sign. $68. WTF I say?! I look again. Joe's Jeans. Um, ok. I've seen these in Nordstroms or Macy's. When did Target start selling $68 jeans?!

Monday Nickolas and I went to Petco to get the girls some litter for their cages and some food/treats. I saw a nice, large cage, complete with a built in wheel for Squigs. I should have bought it. The cage the babies are in is over 30 years old. I found some broken bars at the bottom of the cage, the bars that currently anchor the wheel. I just hope that when I go back they still have it.

The day I pay $68 for jeans is the day I smack myself across the face for being incredibly stupid for paying that much for something that'll wear out in a year anyway.

TY! So far they seem quite happy with it. The wheel was squeaking like crazy. I just got doen greasing it. They are all trying to lick off the veggie oil. The only one who doesn't seem too happy is Daisy, but I don't think she is feeling well.

Soooo.....Having a boring yet somewhat productive day. I'm now in the middle of my semi-annual Fawn Hall Event, in which I gather up the copious amounts of mail and such that has accumulated over the past six months and commence to shredding. I've mowed my way through two very large piles, and now only have to go through the mounds on top of our kitchen island and desk.

We're on vacation all week; we were supposed to be on a cruise going from NY to Nova Scotia but events conspired against us and we had to cancel our plans. Now I'm glad we did- between the restrictions when flying and the storm off the East coast (Ernesto, I believe) the fun would have been diminished. I checked in on our former cruise at Cruise Critic, and one person on board said the weather was bad, ocean really tumultuous and the Martha's Vineyard stop had to be cancelled. We're looking at a Hawaiian cruise or a trip to Europe next year instead.

Friday we're going to Seattle for the weekend- going to stay at a nice hotel in downtown and hit all the tourist traps like Pioneer Square, the Market and the museums. We seldom do that anymore- we either just stop off while flying to elsewhere, or we visit relatives and hang out at their homes. It will be nice to get away, even if it is for a short time.

It's 8AM on the west coast and Ralphie has just boarded the sub to go to the deep sea trench. He just emailed me to tell me that he was boarding. I hope all goes well with the voyage.
Bon voyage, my love!
:)
