Out of place? Never. Just defined as "Hard-core swank"

What about Big Foot?

In all seriousness, Alex. Bears are going to rummage through our campsite at night. Are you not concerned about sleeping outside where they will, at the very least, snif you at close range to see whether you are alive or if you are meat?

Alex 04-23-2007 06:07 PM

Not really. If they had any interest in eating people, do you think tents would stop them?

When it comes to getting hassled by wildlife the bigger concern would be raccoons, which can be very aggressive.

Okay, I think it would scare the carp outta me.

I've heard of them sniffing up the tents and that is bad enough but smelling me right on, agh!

Not Afraid 04-23-2007 06:53 PM

Well, think of it this way......the Bear/Alex meet will make for great stories.

Alex 04-23-2007 07:12 PM

Honestly, assuming it didn't actually eat me how cool would it be to awake at 3 a.m. to a wild bear sniffing you? The momentary terror would be so worth it.

Not Afraid 04-23-2007 07:14 PM

You'd better bring 2 sleep sacks, because one may end up wet with pee.

Speaking of pee.......nevermind. Everyone does NOT need to know this.

Alex 04-23-2007 07:32 PM

There are always two sleep sacks in the trunk. But I suspect I'd be really tempted to try and pet it. Or at least make sure it saw the hot dog on the next tent over.
