Glad to hear that you are ok, Heidi!

I had a strange experience with choking the other evening. I was sleeping and must have burped up a bit of gastric acid. For some reason, it made my throat close up and I woke up unable to breath. I was freaking out for a few seconds, as was Matthew, until I forced myself to relax enough to finally get some air in.

The adrenaline rush of the whole thing kept me up for hours afterwards.

Cheers to LSpoorEyorick - who almost made an untimely departure due to a tomato slice. I am happy Tom was there to read your sign language. I'm happy you're okay, and celebrate your continued existence tonight.

Tom is the hero of the day! 3 cheers for him.
We're glad you're still here, LSPE!
:)

When oh when will people learn that tomatoes are evil?

Gads I'm glad you survived your ordeal.

You're not preggers, are you?;)

The same thing happened to me when I was expecting, and it was very scary. I wound up developing acid reflux, which I still deal with to this day.

I *knew* I refused to take tomatoes in my lunch today for a reason! Yoiks! My mom recently had to give my dad the Heimlich at the Black Angus restaurant by them. You'd think that would get notice, but apparently no one paid any attention. Seems like there should be lights and sirens and chorus girls and so forth - all celebrating the not-dying. Did chorus girls appear for you?

Sadly, no. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to report that we had to have scaeagles fixed. He was popping out too many future conservatives. Something had to be done.

Yeah, all you wimps with your supposed throat problems. I laugh at your throat problems!

Actually, glad you're OK. Shouldn't you have posted this in some sort of "cheating death" thread and compared yourself to the perpetual death cheater CP?

And MBC, I stopped producing offspring of my own free will. While they will be fine future conservatives, all children are whiney little liberals, wanting you to give them everything for free without an understanding of the work or cost involved to give them what they think they need. :)

It's ok if she one-ups me. I've got the dislocated kneecap story GD mentioned. ;)
