I have to go get my braces tightened. So not looking forward to that. Hopefully, they'll tell me when I'll get my braces off!

Ugh, nothing worse :( I still get the willies when I drive past my orthodontist's office.

Don't I know it! Every now and then we drive by the freeway exit and I still cringe.

Remember the feeling when the braces first came off? My teeth were so slippery feeling. I couldn't help but run my tongue over my teeth for a day or so.

Tori - if you're like Maddie and wear rubber bands it'll all depend on how much you wear them. Madz is about 8 mos overdue to get hers off cause she never wears her rubberbands (not to mention the extra dental visits from not brushing good enough).

I am waiting for The Boy to get home from his first day of Jr High. He was bouncing off the walls at 6am. He didn't need to leave until 7:45-8ish.

Or do what I did and fake out the dentist by not biting down squarely and pretending my bite had changed. What? I was 15 and they NEEDED to come off.

I had my braces for 5 years. Long time. Can ya imagine what they looked like before?
See page 42 of the Big Book of British Smiles.
I dreaded getting them tightened.
