Sorry to hear that Scaeagles. Life is so weird. Each new day just amazes me.

I hope you cherish his memory.

Leukemia can be like that sometime. Happend to one of the managers I work with, vibrant exuberant woman who started feeling off so went to the Doctors and was dead within 3 months. It was unbelievable that something like that could happen, but I guess it does. I'm sorry for your loss, it's always hard when one of your contemporaries goes.

The whole thing is just rather surreal. Like I said, it isn't like we were close now, and only had the occassional email anymore. Like ML posted, it's important to cherish each and every moment, because who knows how long we have.

I realized I've actually discussed this friend before here or perhaps on another board prior to the creation of the LoT, and perhaps MBC might remember. He is someone who...discovered? realized?...that he was gay only somewhat recently, even though he had girlfriends and such during college and HS. In some thread or another I was saying how I thought that was odd that he was seemingly happy and....well, hetero, for lack of a better word....and then either came out or made a discovery or some such thing.

I'm sorry to hear about that as well.

It's a stark reminder of our mortality, isn't it?

Sooo....We went to Seattle for the weekend, and had a very fun and interesting time. I am no stranger to Seattle, but the past few years we have pretty much just zipped through it on our way to somewhere else. This time, we stayed downtown in a nice little boutique hotel and really got to absorb some of the atmosphere. As much as it pains me to say it, I truly love Seattle. (I just hate how much of our tax dollars, etc, they get as opposed to the Eastern side of Washington). Anyway, took a few pics and had some fun experiences that I will post in a mini-trip form here in the next day or so.

Prudence!!!! I got your messages, but too late to meet up! (My phone died and I didn't get your voicemail until today). We're planning on another jaunt next month, so hopefully we can arrange a PNW Swankfest then, okay?

I went with Susan shopping for shoes for her for her sister's upcoming wedding. We never got out of Nordy's.

I am such a mo: I love shopping for clothes for Susan. We found a cute pair of comfortable shoes for her that fit the bill - total "Wicked" (as in the musical) shoes. Comfort was import as she is the Matron of Honor and it is a full Catholic Mass ceremony.

How is it that two Atheists/agnostics (not 100% where they stand) could raise a devout Catholic and a Pagan?!?

I have to move because my landlord is a flake and I'm pretty sure my kitchen cabnet is rotting out and there is mold growing in it. School started and I am a week behind, I am exhausted from work and I have a constant headache because of the kitchen issues.

Gah.
