About once a day our little chihuahua goes berserk. Runs around in big circle as fast as he can over and over then changes direction, barks and runs some more. Sometimes throwing in a few leaps as he goes. It's the funniest thing to watch.

Then he gets too winded and does his little backward sneeze thing in the corner. Poor guy - I think he gets embarrassed by the backwards sneeze as he always hides to do it.

After he gets a bath he does the same thing, but throws in running with his head on the ground to dry off on the carpet as he goes.

He's such a cutie pie.

I've never been much of a dog person. Always cats. Rocky though has my heart.

It was worth reading that post again for the new coda.

Stiff upper lip, ozron. This is sad, but it's how it's supposed to be, and is ultimately good stuff.

Oh, and belated sympathies, ABG.

But Cherny, their insanity is part of their cuteness. My basset hound has ADD I swear. I haven't seen any other dog that is as hyper as she is. And she's 11 years old. Still crazy.

Thanks ISM.

So, about dogs.

We have an English constable beagle. He checks that everything is tickety boo around the joint. Lately, he's had to keep one eye cocked on a crew of masons on the roof (they arecompletely redoing our two chimneys) and the other eye on and a crew of landscapers in the garden (reconfiguring a large flower bed).

By the end of the day, the beagle is completely drained.

Hehehe - all you need to add is a couple of mechanics working on the car and some guys remodeling the kitchen, and you can have the dog tying himself in knots !!

Talk about "dog tired"!
