Congrats to the bride and family!

In less happy news, Munchkin's been in a bad way today. This morning, I opened his cage and he didn't budge, just stayed in the back half asleep. A bit odd, but we did kinda keep him up late last night. But after a couple hours, it got worriesome, especially when he ignored fresh veggies. When we kinda hovered around his cage to encourage him to come out, he went and hid in the bathroom, shying away from any attempt to pet him. Even when at his most tired, he never refuses a good scrub. That's when I looked and saw that his litter box was suspiciously under-used. So while I went to Ikea, CP took Munch to the vet.

Hopefully this is just some hair blockage. He got an injection and some subcutaneous fluids. We gave him some hairball gook, and CP got him to have a nibble of food, which seemed encouraging. But nothing since. He's holed up in his favorite corner, ignoring food and water, and still not wanting to be pet. Definitely not himself. Hopefully a night of care will get him past this, if not, back to the vet tomorrow.

Oh Munchkin! Get better!

With thanks to Bart Simpson...

I didn't think it was possible but apartment hunting both sucks and blows.

To anyone who skips HS reunions....you are missing out. I went to my 20th in Napa on Sunday, and had a complete blast, but was disappointed at some missing friends. You must go to yours. Not optional. People will miss you if you dont.

Good to hear that you had a good time, Leo. I still don't think I will be attending mine. The wierd thing is the people who keep popping out of the woodwork and asking one of the organizers about me. The latest was a close friend who lives in Alaska. We were pretty tight until I got engaged. He had always though I would marry him and move to Alaska. He never understood that I didn't see him in that way.

I have 30 minutes until I leave for my first day of work. I haven't felt nervouse/excited until about 15 minutes ago. Now I am a bit of a wreck, but at least I look good!!

Munchkin is well on the way to getting better. <happy dance of relief>

All of yesterday was horribly stressful, trying to get her to eat, drink, take some of the recommended pineapple juice. She didn't move much at all. It was worrisome. I knew if there was nothing in the litterbox and she still showed signs of fatigue in the morning, I'd have to zip her off to emergency again. Then it would be an IV and overnight stay. Yeech.

Woke up and we have a bouncy bunny again! Small poop in the box, eating a bit, giving kisses. I'm so damn relieved.

I've never been so happy to see poop in my life (well, except for that one time...).

I avoided the stupid, overpriced, commoditized "Great Runions" prom-for-28-year-olds thing. Instead, a few of us who have kept in contact got word out to as many people as we could on our own and had a backyard bbq/swim party with about 20 people. Now THAT'S how to have a reunion.

I came home from Brunch yesterday about 5:30 and fell asleep. I woke up at 5 am. I guess I was tired.
