Off to another day of looking at houses... maybe today we'll find the one we buy.

Ooh, have a great time! He's fantastic live. :) GD had never read a book of his and he loved it....and then read some books of his afterwards.

Yes, he is fantastic live. Though I disagree that his books are great. For some reason I only find him funny out loud.

Enjoy! You won't be disappointed. I've seen him numerous time and he's always been a joy to listen to.

I've been to one of David Sedaris' readings and it was a blast. He's so funny. I think "Me Talk Pretty One Day" is still my favorite of his. And I love listening to "Santaland Diaries" every Xmas.
:)

So speaking of great live... Cherny, Beej and I just saw Pink Martini at the Hollywood Bowl. Uploaded a couple clips.

I love that song but [geek]someone needs to work with the singer on getting rid of the English dipthongization in her French vowels [/geek]. It's ooky.

So, I love this joke, now making its way around the internet:

Q: How many graphic designers does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: A lightbulb? Does it have to be a lightbulb? Can we go with a candle, maybe with a flickering light? Or a lantern? Why do we have to go with a lightbulb? I was thinking more along the lines of an open road, with clouds and a desertscape. Who came up with this crappy lightbulb idea? It was marketing, wasn't it?

Not Afraid 09-20-2009 11:50 AM

Marketing always gets the blame. That's ok, though. We can usually persuade ourselves out of it.

So, we picked apples off one tree by our driveway. We got three big grocery bags full. We didn't spray so some will be wormy. Any good ones are going into a pie for dessert tonight.

Snake's cuuuuuuuuute!!!!

I agree you should have kept the Pom.

I had a huge weekend and I'm exhausted. I think I shouldn't watch any sports games if I want "my" team to win.

On the bright side, now I'm home, and I have crackers and hummus, and whiskey in a shot glass. It's a good thing- I'm feeling a little beside myself somehow and I don't really like it.
