We got one too. I get to go home at 3.

But because I'm mostly on an east coast work schedule I usually go home around then anyway.

I didn't work at all today!*

* It's my normal Friday off.

John and I were out shopping for our snow chains on Anaheim around lunchtime when I remembered a buddy of mine had mentioned having lunch one day at Jesse James' diner located next to his Orange County Choppers which is, btw, on Anaheim right before you get to the 710....so, we went there to check it out.

Cool spot! With super clean tables and a bright skylight overhead and big beefy guys all tatted up, if you like that sort of thing.

John had one of their burgers and I tried their fish 'n' chips. Great!

I asked our cashier how often Jesse ate there and she told me "about every day. As a matter of fact, he just left about thirty minutes ago."

A great way to start off our YO-Sim-n-EEEEEEE! Weekend!

Cisco's is great! (And it was noisy when you were on the phone).

I took a nap and I'm going to see Leonard Cohen tonight. But, I also have to pack and do a bunch of other things. Clone? Clone?

Yes! If you keep pounding your head against the wall long enough you will eventually break through.

After many weeks of pounding, I am finally through the wall that was in my way! My work cheese is happy. :)

I freaking love my accountant. I was expecting to owe, instead I'm getting back more than double the cost of the accountant! SOOOOOOO worth every penny I pay them!

While I'm sad to have missed out on the Lashness of the last week/weekend, I am pretty freakin' happy about how mine went. I am feeling so relaxed now that I got to just take some time off without obligation. I got to see family, I got a passing grade at the dentist, and I got to sit around and enjoy myself and not feel like there was some chore or other obligation I should have been attending to. And I even get today to recover from it all.

I am so relaxed right now it's freaking me out. I don't do relaxed very well. You may have noticed this about me. In fact, I'm feeling so relaxed that it's making me kind of anxious. But mostly I'm just relaxed. Really really relaxed.

Had my follow up physical exam this morning (including that "special" exam that guys over 40 get - the only non-happy part of this) and my doctor was very impressed with my results.
  • Total Cholesterol was good: HDL (Good Cholesterol) was high (good) and LDL (Low Cholesterol) was low (good)
  • Blood pressure was normal
  • No signs of diabetes (a worry of mine along with the Cholesterol)
  • PSA numbers were good
  • HIV and Hep-C free
He said it is normal to find a weird out of limit result that is irrelevant, but I didn't even have one of those.

I am fit as a fiddle! (But painfully out of shape - my diagnosis, not my doctor's)

Also got a sample pack of Blue Pills

How exciting for you.

Despite my bitterness, I did just get a new 22" monitor that seems to be easing my suffering.
