Do I get bonus points for having gone to a girls' school similar to the one in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie"? (But in the late 60's and early 70's)
So, why do rates on interest-bearing checking accounts vary so widely? One bank quotes 0.050 on a $1,000 minimum balance, while another quotes .001 on minimum $15,000 and on and on. |
Tonight is the first preview for The Drowsy Chaperone. I have butterflies upon butterflies in my tummy. Breathing, breathing, breathing...

Attention:
Prudence has a new plan. A new plan that will prevent her from feeling hopeless and trapped. A new plan that will let her be excited about the future once again. Going back to school! Seriously. If I go get an LLM in a couple years I'll a) no longer be a "stale" grad when hiring picks up again; b) can go to a higher-ranked school and take advantage of the prestige factor; and c) gain more expertise in a specific area to be a better candidate. GWU has a government procurement LLM program that would actually make a logical trajectory from my current job, so it wouldn't look so bizarre. And they'll do part-time, so if I could transfer to a position in DC I wouldn't lose salary/benefits. There are other programs, too. I don't know what I'd pick. I'm just happy to have found another path that doesn't rely on me getting a highly-competitive slot in the worst.job market.ever. |
Awesome, Pru!

YAY, Pru!
Break a leg, GC! |
Sooo... long day.... damn.

Pru, you got more guts than I. Good luck.
Seriously. |
Pru: awesome! Good idea on the prestige thing too!

About ten minutes before curtain, I decided to not be nervous any more and I wasn't. It was the weirdest thing ever. Mind over matter, I guess. I had so much fun tonight. :) |
