Not sure. But I do know more women with hella long Hawaiian names than men.

On a total side note, I wonder.... I'll bet if you ran some psych profiles you would find that individuals drawn to acting have better than average memory/recall.

I know I'll never go near acting because the thought have having to remember all the lines/marks/movements gives me the screaming heebe jeebies.

I'm not meaning to be a contrarian, but I have a really bad memory. It usually takes me longer to get off book than everyone else when I do a show. I think it has something to do with me being possibly dyslexic. I've been thinking that I might just be that lately. I have a hard time absorbing info, memorizing, transposing letters etc. But I do know actors with photographic memories and it's simply amazing to me how they get their lines down so fast.
:)

Of course, all we have is his word that he's got it right.

Ken Levine (TV writer including such things as MASH, Cheers, and Frasier) has a blog. A while back someone asked him about how actors memorize lines and since he wasn't an actor he polled actors he knows (unfortunately unidentified but I'm guessing many of them are well known).

It was very interesting to see the wide range of approaches and ease with which they do it. Here are the posts:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

True that. I don't have my sister's birth certificate in front of me.

When my sister was in high school, she was going to buy a Hawaiian bracelet with her Hawaiian name inscribed on it. But she found out that it would take two bracelets to get the full name printed out. So she decided not to do it. I think she could probably do it now, I think they can do more with the fonts now than they could back in '86.

I won't believe that's her name unless you provide the full form birth certificate. Otherwise I must assume she was born in Kenya.

Fine you found my Star Wars reference, but my Lilo and Stitch comment remains safely undiscovered... :p

Ok I suppose I'm among the wrong group of people to hide Disney references... You'd be amazed how easy it is around the office....

Ps. Do I get extra points for making the comment on a Thursday?

For the record, I noticed it. I just watched Lilo & Stich again the other night. It's a pretty movie but I can't help thinking how odd the story is. Aliens on Kaua'i... (I mean, everyone knows they're on Maui...)
