Oh, I'm right. I've been to Maui. I've seen them.

NPR let me down big time.

So, who else heard the NPR stories this morning on the pumpkin crop and Indian Market in Santa Fe? Pumpkins and Indian jewelry - I'm so there!

Which is why I felt NPR let us down. The pumpkin crop is down but by how much? Pumpkin prices are up but, again, by how much? And those elusive white pumpkins - those ghost pumpkins - of which they spoke, who ever heard of those before???

Then there was the reporting on the economy and Indian Market weekend. Know that 3894/Helen + Indian Market weekend + $1,000 = pure joy. Where were the details on exactly how the economy has affected what the artists are offering, NPR? Details, we needed the details!

Pumpkins at my Vons yesterday were 14.99. They've had the white pumpkins for quite a few years now.

White pumpkins are the best for launching with compressed air guns, or so I've heard.

That's interesting, katiesue. The orange ones are $2.00 for a big one here. We'll also have very cheap Christmas trees before too long.

I have never seen a white pumpkin or heard of one. They must not grow them here.

I doubt that Matt was "one of those teens that went around late on Holloween smashing all the pumpkins on peoples porches or tossing them in the streets"

Now if you had said, "Matt was one of those teens that went around late on Holloween smashing all the pumpkins on peoples porches from 3/4 of a mile away"

I might be more inclined to accept your statement.

Sooo... I'm off to my interview. It's not till 3:30 but I have to pop by the bank and stuff while I'm out and about.

This is for that job in costuming & fabric procurement. Could potentially be a cool job. Fingers crossed!

katiesue 10-01-2009 01:52 PM

Good luck!
