We went to Pat and Richard Nixon's favorite Mexican restaurant: El Adobe in San Juan Capistrano. I had carne asada with a cheese enchilada. Yummy!

Last night I had roasted corn and crab chowder, which was delicious, and a burger, which was good. Tonight I haven't decided. Might have pizza. Or the chicken. And maybe the chocolate cake.

Tonight a massive globe artichoke (bigger than a large softwabll) and some garlicky dippy sauce (and lots of napkins) and a sliced heirloom tomato

I'm not sure yet, but it will involve chicken tenders...

That sounds wonderful - except tomato part.

We tried an "artichoke boil" mix the last time I made chokes and it was really good.

I think I read this on this thread somewhere... anyway, tonight's menu is tri-tip in the Crock Pot.

I didn't have any beef broth, so I used a can of chicken broth, plus several cups of water, and a package of onion soup mix. Tossed in some carrots for good measure. We'll see if it comes up something edible or if Alex is going to kill me for destroying a Harris Ranch tri-tip ;)
