Yay!

Fingers crossed, y'all!

:)

Ooooo... Will you get to "audition" the male masseurs? :D

Congratulations on the lead.

Sorry about possibly having to go to Waikiki every day.

Yeah, that's definitely a huge minus but luckily it's near the Ala Moana end of Waikiki and more manageable than dead center.
:)

So this would be the REALLY BIG hotel at that end? Or one of the lesser big hotels?

Yes and no. It's almost one of the really big lesser hotels on that end.

Then you write a treatment à la Aaron Spelling Productions.

And now for something completely different: no flu vaccine around here. They're out! No more coming in until mid-Novemberish.

Best wishes on the job lead, GC!

Same here. I snagged my shot at my allergist's office. I would like to also get an H1N1, but they're still not available yet.

Our Walgreen's was advertising the shot on a walk-in basis. In reality, only one of the pharmacists was giving shots and she isn't there all that much. Then they ran out of the stuff, like everyone else. Oh, well.

And speaking of sickness and pain, let me tell you about our braindead local newspaper. Example headline from today: "Woman Gets X Years for Alleged Murder Plot". Um, alleged?

They run out of flu shots every year. I'm not sure why people are surprised that H1N1 ran out too.

I'm sure it couldn't be related to the media/government hyping that there would be enough to go around.

Ghoulish Delight 10-22-2009 01:10 PM

H1N1 hasn't run out. H1N1 vaccine has only been distributed to the highest risk categories of people (mainly health workers). Larger scale roll out of H1N1 vaccine has yet to come.

Info, as it were, from the CDC

Quote:

It is expected that there will be enough 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine for anyone who chooses to get vaccinated. The US federal government has procured 250 million doses of 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine. This quantity of vaccine accounts for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) clinical trial data showing that children 6 months to 9 years of age will need two doses and persons 10 and older will need one dose. Limited amounts of 2009 H1N1 vaccine became available in early October, and more will continue to become available over the upcoming weeks.
