Odd that you stay that Alex. I find Facebook to be exactly like LoT. People post something and, if it sparks an interest, people respond and keep responding in what becomes an actual thread.

I don't think a single Group will naturally produce the variety of threads necessary to imitate a message board - but since theoretically the membership of the real LoT and the facebook LoT are the same, there is nothing to stop that from happening. The threads just don't get convenient names.

The biggest annoyance so far is the constant notifications on FB that someone new has joined or commented. I can't find a way to disable that.

For each post there is an "unsubscribe" button.

I'm with Alex, I don't find Facebook's interface very comfortable for long-form conversation.
