I may or may not be there tonight, depends on what we decide to do. I'm glad I didn't go yesterday. The hot and no ride would have just been annoying. It was much less annoying being hot at home. If I don't make it today then I won't see it until the 17th (sorry Steve!).

And for anyone (else) who cares the cheese in the 3 cheese monte cristo contains animal rennet.

I haven't been there yet. I called Disney Dining to find out since it was one of the few things I could maybe eat at the new Cafe Orleans.

(I gave up beef, chicken and pork about a year and a half ago, seafood about 6 months ago and animal rennet about 3 months ago [after I discovered what it was]).

Do I care enough about the new pirates to drive to DL in traffic and wait for 2 hours in the heat and humidity? Or do I want to stay home in the relative coolness? Will the geek win out over the thermally challenged? Will the husband have influence either way?

Well... Nick and I are already home. We got to the park at 7:45 and the entrance line was already to the CALIFORNIA sign. We knew better and waited near the Early Entrance gates. By the time 8 came, the line was backed up to the DCA gates. When we got in the security guard was telling the people running that they might as well slow down since Pirates wait was already at the 2 hour mark. At one point the line went under the left tunnel to the entrance gates. It did seem to be moving pretty well, but it made for a very crowded area. EVERYTHING was crowded. They finally did some switch backs of the Pirate's que in NOL Square, but the line was still well past the Carnation Cafe when we fought our way out at 10ish. DCA had just opened and their lines were still no match for DL. The trains were even uber crowded.

I am not a big fan of the crowds and the only thing I can equate them to was when the MSEP was "glowing away forever" push of 10 years ago.

Our ride of Pirates will have to wait for another day... :(

Sounds like we have a real nail biter here. Who will be the first LoT'er to ride the new PoTC.

Anyone care to lay some odds? I'll give you CP/GD if I can have Disneyphile and ML.

BarTopDancer 06-26-2006 03:59 PM

It will take us over an hour to get there leaving a 5. Maybe later tonight but it's not looking likely. The 17th is only 2 weeks away. I'll live.

ML has already ridden it. He and Zap vie for first.

The rest of us suck. ;)

OK, fine then. How about odds on the first crew to scuttle their ship? :D
