I took a "sick" day yesterday.
And now my apartment is sparkling, beautifully, wonderfully clean. My closests? Neat. My room? Spick and span and adorable. My bed? Made, pillows and all. And I'm getting well organized at work. My head feels cleaner. My heart lighter. Strangely, my libido feels dampened, but that probably has to do with feeling like a housewife yesterday, and not enjoying the role very much. But the sense of accomplishment I felt after all was done...priceless. I even did my laundry. And took clothes to the dry cleaners, clothes that have been sitting in my closet for over a year because I was too lazy to walk them to the dry cleaners. A suit I forgot I had. A nice suit. Ah, I'm going to dress to impress next week. All that's on my to do list this weekend is HAVE FUN! Awesome. |
My to do list is SO proud of you.
May you break hearts next week in your newly dry cleaned clothes! |
Awesome is right! You rock, babe.
Hmm, housework lowers libido....now that you mention it...although I think that it may just be a tiredness thing. |

My triumph came in on the heels of dishonesty. Productive dishonesty. The funny? I got all the way to my last bus stop before deciding to take the day off. I called in from a pay phone to say I got ill in transit. |

Oh you are GOOD! I bow down! You are the queen! :D :snap: When I used to work..at the job I totally hated...for the Queen of Witches...having kids was nice..."OH..Kat's not feeling well today." Of course, this used to piss me off to no end when my employees would call in sick because of their kids...Of course I let them off...but I was always wondering....... |
I actually have the day off tomorrow. Lincoln's birthday. Perhaps I'll get my sh!t together.
But I sure as hell ain't writing a list - that ALWAYS jinxes me. I didn't get any of the stuff on my list done yesterday. |
Today is the day my to-do list gets done!

Can we quote you on that? :) ;) I actually accomplished one of my To Do's....CLEANING BAILEY'S ROOM! I try really hard to make my kids clean their own rooms...but their idea of clean and my idea of clean are apparently two different things! I'm personally shocked at the number of candy, chip, gum wrappers one can stuff under the bed. And did you know an un-eaten Chicken McNugget from McDonald's can live under your bed without turning green for at least three weeks! And I've been wrong all this time thinking dirty clothes went in the dirty clothes hamper  ....apparently they live in the toy box, under the mattress, behind the TV, on the top bunk, anywhere BUT the hamper. BUT..it's clean now and no longer smells "funky"...what is that smell anyway??? Those of you who have little boys know what I'm talking about! |
I cleaned my fridge, have laundry in the dryer and I did a bunch of homework (with more to do... on a break). Next up is the stove. The oven was supposed to get done today but I can't find the SOS non stinky oven cleaner pads.
