My appetite used to be pretty insatiable. I ate good food, but I ate too much of it. By eating constantly (or, so it must seem to those around me who watch me go to the office fridge every three hours) I have managed to reduce my stomach capacity to such a smaller amount that I can't even finish a sandwich from a restaurant anymore. It's only truly hard if I get off schedule and get hungrier than my stomach can consume (which I try to prevent.)

This is exactly what I'm doing as well! (In fact, I just finished my second lunch.) I'm amazed at how easy it's been, and I'm already down 6 pounds. :D

I hear ya on the energy bit! I'm loving every minute of it! I really think I've found the way to eat for life. I feel great, and I'm not deprived at all. And no longer am I sluggish after eating a large meal. (Because I don't eat large meals anymore. ;) )

You guys are inspiring me to work walking into my day somehow, but there's so much ice and snow out there, it would be more hazardous than helpful. I don't do well with going to work out because my hours rarely work with their open hours.

You can dance. :D Put on some Devo, RATM, sorry, it can't be Neil Diamond. {well, maybe 'Cherry Baby'...}

Sometimes I've even 'run in place' while watching t.v. {pre-treadmill and when it is too cold to go into the garage....}

Sounds 'cheap' {as my son would say} but it is moving. :snap:

That I could do, just finding a good time to do it. Early mornings are best, by the time I'm done chasing kids for the day, I can't see me doing much dancing.

MouseWife 02-01-2007 03:50 PM

*sigh*

I also haven't been dancing much because of too much going on. I love love love to dance. But, the heart has to be in it Really hard to pull myself off of the couch wrapped in my comforter to go put on workout clothes and come jump around like a jumping bean.

But, I think I need to. It burned a lot of calories/fat because I was different. Like NA said about not gaining weight back but changing, when I hadn't gained back a few pounds but quit dancing, my body was morphing again.

It is fun to watch the body morph. In private. I would suggest to those of you guys going for a big loss to take picture in a bathing suit. For you. Sometimes I lose sight of how far I've gone and that isn't good. You know, the feeling you are having for losing weight? I haven't felt that for a while and I think that is leading me down the road to bad eating habits. :(

One month ago I could not have worn the blouse I am wearing to work today. :)

The slacks I am wearing are falling off, going shopping on the weekend. :D

I've been doing a diet designed by a local naturopath since the first week in December. So far I've lost 24 pounds! That's been with lots of cheating too. I want to drop another ten in February, and ten each month after that. I'm going back to strict veganism this week and upping the exercise. Oh to shop at the gap again. I'm only five pounds away!

LSPoorEeyorick 02-09-2007 08:18 AM

Congratulations, you two!

I have officially lost ten pounds now. Not that it's a high percentage of body weight. But, you know, ten pounds is ten pounds.

And I found this out at the right time, too. I was just starting to cheat. Now I'm feeling inspired.

4 for 4 this week. Jogged Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, soccer on Wednesday. I've been bringing lunches (forgot to bring last night's leftovers today :mad: ) and generally eating and snacking less. I think I've actually created a habit finally!

The cafeteria had biscuits and gravy this morning - add a couple slices of bacon and thhat's why my weight has remained the same over the past month.
