Spoiler:
Having only been on it once, I'm not sure where the transition(s) occur, but the effect is seamless. I'm guessing that all the water dripping off the subs gets recycled through the floor back into the lagoon, but I'm pretty sure that there's no water at all in many of the scenes. Very clever lighting does the job. Could be that the subs pass through a big car wash blow-dryer during one of the noisier scenes.

Hey look, a duck with no pants!

Answer this one Commodore!

Spoiler:
How do you do bubbles in a dry environment since most of the scenes have bubbles or transition in or out through a bubble screen.
Look. Up in the sky. A dead bird.

From what I can tell:

Spoiler:
The subs are always in water but when you go through the show scenes, you are looking through the water outside your porthole and then another piece of glass in front of the scenes themselves. You don't see the building glass because it is so close to you and the seams are integrated so well. So, it's kind of like being in a flume ride but looking out from beneath the water's surface and through a clear wall.

And that's the real Disney magic!

Nothing to see here.

Wow, so Tinkerbell is murdering seagulls and dropping them on unsuspecting guests?

Oh so many comments available, but I shall defer for now.

Gn2Dlnd 06-05-2007 05:23 PM

After looking at that picture, maybe it's me displacing all that water.

I swear, I've got to go on an all lettuce diet or something.

Oh, Kevy, defer this. :p

but no Kuka magic... :(

Gemini Cricket 06-05-2007 06:05 PM

Waitaminute...
It's not Kevy's face cheeks that are sore from say smiling, it's his ass cheeks that are sore from sitting in small sub seats.
I get it now... 50 posts later.
:D

I thought Kevy's sore cheeks had to do with fulfilling a promise made in 500 words or less to Plumenom.
