I guess it all depends on traffic and how early I leave Kings Canyon - this is a film I've been thinking about lately as something I saw 20 years ago and may have a better appreciation for now.

Pfft, it's martini hour the whole time €uro's at King's Canyon. I don't know when he'll be fit to drive!

Here's where I have to admit that I've never seen Blue Velvet, or any movie by him. Perhaps a cemetary screening is not the best time for that?

But, hot damn! I'm SO there for Gold Diggers!

innerSpaceman 06-30-2008 08:21 AM

Oooh, i've only seen Blue Velvet once ... at the dawn of history. But what kind of freaks will that bring out the cemetery?

(I mean, besides us?)

not sure if this is a good weekend to plan anything, but I'd love too see Blue Velvet in a cemetery.

innerSpaceman 07-01-2008 12:29 AM

On the other hand, with all the planning for the 4th ... um, I've got nothing planned for the other two days of a 3-day weekend.

And, crikey, I haven't been to a cemetary screening yet this season.

Ironically, the entire week is full of stuff. Spa Night Monday, Love Honor Cherish Tuesday, My Birthday Wednesday, My Best Friend Laurie's Birthday Thursday, America's Birthday Friday ... it would be a real let-down if there were nothing going on for the holiday weekend. Heheh.

If someone would be willing to twist my arm...

(I've never been to a Cemetery Screening - and I love Blue Velvet)

"I had a dream. In fact, the night I met you. In the dream the world was dark because there weren't any robins. You know, birds. Robins stood for love. And all of a sudden thousands of robins flew down and brought this blinding light of love. And it felt like that love would be the only thing that would make any difference. I guess until the robins come there is trouble."

Ghoulish Delight 07-01-2008 10:07 AM

Tempted....

innerSpaceman 07-01-2008 10:22 AM

Ok, believe it or not, I barely remember anything about Blue Velvet ... except that I DIDN'T LIKE IT.

I know I must have been misguided. I HAVE TO see this movie again. Who will come to the cemetery with me???? (I'm too scared to be in a cemetery alone at night.)
