Well... Unlike my opponent, I’m the Big Tent candidate. If I’m elected, you all get to go!

(Except Alex, because he's a curmudgeon. And Kevy.... Because...Well... The lawyers will probably demand it...)

Brad i hear ya there. But our bands don't do such a thing as someone as Miley or even Disney did for her or her dad who knows.

As far as us having idols growing up i was too old for the 90210 craze nor did i wanna be a Brenda, Kelly or Tori wanna be. But then again it all comes down to upbringing about morals and values. Charlies Angels was a little before my time. I guess i was innocent or rather unique in the fact i didn't want to be like anyone else either. I did watch the Brady Bunch alot.

If i ever get enough money together and rent out the park i'll make sure the Dave Mathews Band plays the Golden for ya Brad and Bon Jovi for me.

Bon Jovi? Dave Matthews? pfft.

What about bringing back the Golden Horsehoe Revue for one night. Now that would be impressive.

(nothing against Bon Jovi and DMB...both great bands IMHO)

Kids seem to grow up super faster and it seems like it is normal to have someone to idolize but at the same time they need to realize these people are normal and human and not to put them up there on a thrown either. I mean all these little girls wanting to be Miley.

Compared to many of the role models that have been available for girls to look up to, Miley is pretty harmless IMO.

I don't think that Miley fans are necessarily trying to be her. They might love her show or her music. They might want to have her sense of humor and her spunk and her independence, but I don't think it's harmful to encourage that.

Quite honestly, I enjoy watching her. I totally can see how, if I was eleven, Hannah Montana and High School Musical would draw me in. And with the exception of seventh and eighth grades, I've never tried or wanted to be anything but me.

It may happen sometimes, but I don't think avid appreciation or fandom necessarily requires subjugation of personality. (Though as I've gotten older I've seen it more as passion misplaced, and active life exchanged for a passive one. I am not as much of a 'fan' of things these days.)

You'd have to re-cast it, so I have a feeling you could never recapture it.

I have a friend who is obssessed with Jonas Brothers. I mean come on it's so unheathly to go by their house and try to meet them as well as Miley's and stalk them.

If you were ever in New Jersey, would you try to swing by JBJ's house?

Please, don't tease the monkey girl :)
