I could see wanting to be there for the spectacle. If I were to get tickets it wouldn't be to rend my clothes and sob, but to be there in the moment, though I am a fan.

As mentioned in an earlier post from me, at least some of the decision was probably based on the fact that he was already rehearsing at Staples. I am guessing that the location was already paid for (as well as staging, lights, sound, video), so using it for the memorial was the least-cost venue.

I don't think they would be using his stage set up because they have reported that Ringling Brothers is moving the circus animals in tomorrow morning. It would appear they already have the venue booked themselves. Wouldn't that be a fun turnover for the crew, going from a memorial to a circus setup!
