So, here I am on campus during the day time. Mid-day, in fact. And boy is there a different vibe than in the evening. I'm only 31, but I feel so old right now I'm wondering where my walker is. Everything is all giggles and struts and these kids do not have a clue which end is up.

But I think my favorite part of the day so far was listening to two study group members discuss where they were going to meet to study tomorrow. Member A wanted to meet in the undergrad library so that other students wouldn't overhear them studying and thereby maybe do better than them on the exam. The exam based on the same material everyone read and/or heard in class. And not only that, Member A didn't even want to come out and say this, for fear THAT give away her secret plan to study in a cone of silence, but Member B didn't get what she was hinting at so she had to spill (while giving me a sideways glance.)

This sort of thing does not occur to evening students. At least it doesn't occur to me. I do not have time to worry about what the hell other people are doing. Furthermore, while I understand the mandatory curve, that doesn't mean I have to be an ass about it. I have enough faith in my own abilities that I don't mind sharing my outlines or whatever. If it's an essay exam, odds are I'm going to write the pants off you regardless.

It's just silly. I feel like I'm stuck at a junior high right now.

Chris is at O'Hare and it seems his flight may even leave on time. Miracle of miracles.

And, they're complete pigs. While we were at lunch, another group used this classroom - and left all their garbage everywhere. Because, of course, their mothers will be along shortly to pick up after them.

Well, lucky you, your buddy managed to swing by your house, and take you to the show! What a guy!

Everyone missed out on an AMAZING show! I can't begin to tell you all how incredible this show was. Lucky they were filming a DVD. ;) Trip report sometime tomorrow and pictures eventually! :)

I was wondering the same thing (from the title, I thought it might be some new metal band, but I didn't that was up their alley). Looked at the Mutaytor web site: actually looks kinda interesting. Check out the short promo video (there is a longer one on the site as well).

I think more people should use the word "chow" for "food".
I also think more people should use the word "crumbum" for "jerk".
