let me know when he gets to "if I just admitted it, would I still be guilty?"

And here in Seattle - it's still raining.

And, good god... If you think life in Los Angeles or NYC is missing some of your favorite things, thank your choice of deity that you didn't grow up in the midwest. Before the nineties, it had little ethnic food of ANY kind. (I grew up eating la choi "stir fry" and calling it asian food. Tacos consisted of hamburger with "taco seasoning," or pepper.) But living there isn't about the availability of ethnic food, it's about the lower expenses, and the shorter commutes, and the small-town feeling. If you don't like it where you live, leave it. But don't try to one-up where anybody else lives.

This reminds me of the time my family moved to suburban New York in 1971. (We were California exiles for only 2 years.) My mother was horrified that she couldn’t find the ingredients for tacos in the local stores. My sister (who was going to CSUF at the time) had to smuggle some in to us when she came to visit that first Christmas.

Really? How very odd...;)

(It's actually raining here as well, which works for me- I am not ready for snow yet).

Sooooo.... We put up our tree last night, and today Tori and I went downtown to Color Me Mine and made some stuff for her dad and grandma for Christmas. I figured if Costco can start Christmas early, so can we.

We're trying to get the carpet cleaners in before we do the tree :(

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on tonight!

this brings back memories...

Snowflake 11-20-2006 07:31 PM

my roomie returns from MX tonight around midnight. I made some chili (she asked me to) and I'm about to head to Whole Foods for some of their cookies (which I cannot resist) in case she wants tea when she gets home and other than that, there is nothing sweet in the house. I'll get some scones for breakfast, too.

I hope I can stay awake, I'm beat! :-)
