The fridge is still cycling on and off. The air just stops being cold. I'm hoping it's not the compressor but I have a feeling it is.

The fridge fixer people can't come out until tomorrow. The last time this happened the fridge started working again on its own. I hope it decides to start working tonight.

Problems that go away by themselves, come back by themselves.

So...my day got off to a verrrry amusing start. I stayed amused all day.

Nickolas had spent the entire weekend teaching himself how to make balloon animals. He had one pumpkin orange "dog" he named pumpkin. He wanted to see how long it lasted. It didn't survive past 7:15am.

I was getting dressed in the bathroom because he had the girls out. I heard him screaming, "NO!!! FLUFFER, STOP!!!" I also head some odd noises. I come out to see a fat, dingy, white rat attacking a balloon animal for all she's worth. She popped it segment by segment. With every pop she would jump back from the noise, only to attack again. Poor Thudder was trying to see what her sister was doing, but every time she got close another pop wou,d go off and scare her away. It was the funniest thing I had every seen. The moment was forever etched into my memory when I looked at Nick, on the verge of tears, "She killed my Pumpkin."

After all the segments were gone, I told Fluffer that the dog was dead. She just looked up at me, climbed into my hand and was ready to go back to her cage. Thudder didn't fare as well. It took several minutes of coaxing before she was ready to show her furry face.

That and world hunger... all my fault.
