These crabs can crack a coconut in one swipe; but they're generally too slow to be very dangerous to humans
Snopes has more info on them... if you dare.

sooo coooool

I kinda liked this one. (sorta cute, and not scary)

Now I want crab for lunch.

I heard one of the Survivor Samoa contestants on a podcast recently (Adam Carolla?) and he talked about how they really didn't go hungry much because fruit and coconut crabs were so plentiful (apparently most were more the size of a coconut than the huge ones you see in most photographs).

He said the hard part about the crabs was taking them sufficiently by surprise because if you were too slow and they managed to grab onto a tree or rock you could never get them to let go.

My vote for the most bizarre of the lot:
Spoiler:
the Horror Frog

"so named because of its ability to actively break its own bones to produce claws"

Oh, and it's hairy. A hairy frog. That's bizarre!

Looks like something that would be chasing Pacman.

Waiting for word....

Headliner survived the second round of cuts for the school Basketball team. We should find out later today if she made the team or not.

D'oh! I hate cuts. Worst part of athletics by far. Pulling for her.

What age and level are we talking about here?

8Th grade. Last year before High School. Assuming High School B-Ball is still on her list of goals then this would be an important step.

Me too.

I was at the Aquarium of the Pacific last weekend and they had a tank of lobsters. Yummy. Except they were Pacific (no claws) and I prefer Atlantic.
