So, I ALMOST remembered to bring everything for soccer today. It's quite a list, and in the 4 weeks I've been playing, I have yet to get it right:

Cleats
Shin guards
pants/shorts
extra socks/skivies
hair gel
deoderant
towel
inhaler
lunch
water bottle

This was my best week. The only thing I forgot was to pack a lunch. Actually, check that, I DID pack a lunch, I just left it sitting on the table. Damnit.

I HATE IT when I do stuff like that! I swear I'm ADD some times. I live by notes. I have yellow sticky notes everywhere, and I make a pile of everything I need to take with me for the day in one particular place and I still manage to forget something! AUGGG!

Good luck next time!!

So I just got an email from iTunes and I realize the person in GC's current ever changing avatar is Gwen Stafani and not some famous trany like I presumed

There is a possibility of increased emergency activity and

transportations during this period. Please understand this is a DRILL.

Ground transportation may be impacted as response personnel travel to

various sites.

The drill includes more than 8,000 regional participants from National Naval Medical Center, National Institutes of Health, Suburban Hospital, Joint Forces Headquarters, West Virginia & DC National Guard units, Air Force District Washington and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.

The drill is to include:

* Simulated Fuel Farm explosion and HAZMAT storage facility fire with

real smoke

* 78 casualties wearing realistic-looking moulage makeup

* Real-time response efforts of more than 40 emergency response units

in personal protective equipment

* Triage of victims with on-scene medical intervention and transport

* Medical evacuation of casualties via Blackhawk HH60 and UH1

helicopters to Andrews Air Force Base.

* State-of-the-art "turn key" portable medical surge shelters - first

of their kind in the area

* Fixed and portable decontamination shelters

* Static displays, including military helicopters (1 UH1 and 1 OH58),

configured for medical evacuations, and Joint Forces Headquarters Incident Command Bus.

Sure you may have nice weather and Curious George, but I have HH60 choppers and medial surge shelters....

Each incarnation is more lame than the last. Sorry GC, but I can't stand Gwen anymore. She thinks she's Madonna but she's just a sucky poseur. It only makes me so mad because I was a fan of hers. </rant>

So, I took my car to the shop yesterday for an oil change. The change oil light has been on for a week and I was still under the 3k miles for the change. So, this morning, I get in the car, fire it up and the check engine light is on, and stays on the entire drive to work.

I'm going out with an office buddy to look at it at lunch, I hope it's nothing and just a button that did not get reset. Dammit.

So, I was sick last night, thought I was ok this morning, but had little appetite. After a small breakfast I thought I'd be ok at work but quickly lost energy. My whole body is achy and I'm moving like an old lady. I'm back home now, with juice and fruit and cereal to get my appetite back up. It's not often I take a sick day.
