And for some, there is only sausage! Girthy, girthy sausage. And ham.

All of which go quite nicely with pancakes.

Damn. Now I'm hungry.

Mmmmmmmmm.....

MMM, that bacon is cooked just the way I like it, nice and crispy. Snappy. :snap:

The pancakes thing is nothing more than a running joke. Just like NA's misspellings, Kevy Baby's unlickable kinks, Ghoulish Delight's "girthiness", Scaeagle's ham, SacTown's love for Scaeagle's ham, and especially bacon. Dear sweet bacon.

Those things bring laughs and make people smile. They are mere symbols of our connections and camaraderie with each other - not grudges at all.

Really, DP.

The real question - why the fixation with breakfast foods? There's something to contemplate over your morning coffee...

Because if people stay for breakfast, then it's more than just a one-night stand. ;)

Good morning, swanksters! I am imagining the LoT Diner. It's a chrome-clad deco original somewhere in LA, red-upholstered chrome stools at the counter. The smell of bacon is heavy in the air.

"Do you like pancakes?" the waitperson asks.

A woman of a certain age studies the waitperson over the rims of her cateye glasses. "Pour moi, le pain perdu," she says.

The waitperson rolls his eyes. "She always orders French toast," he says in a stage whisper to nobody and everybody. "In French."

"Et des lardons," the woman calls after him.

"Yeah, yeah, I know," he returns. "Bacon. French toast and bacon."

Massive storm here in Phoenix last night. In the 16 years I've been in my house, I cannot recall heavier winds. Looked like the freakin' Tunguska event when I went outside this morning.

Also have a roof leak. Sigh.

Dude, that blows.

Indeed. I suppose after last night I should be thankful I still have a roof at all.
