It's all in the editing, but, brother Michael won Top Chef over Bryan (and poor Kevin Gillespie got robbed because he had a bad day)?

Yeah, I'm bummed. But then - Kevin swung and missed with a pork dish. That's supposed to be his signature, so while I still think he was the better overall chef during the season, I can understand where the judges were coming from on that. Can they really give Top Chef to someone who didn't deliver on what's supposed to be his best dish?

I wish Bryan had won over Michael. Sure, Michael had the better record during the season, but he's just such an arrogant prick, and so much of his food did seem gimmicky.

But whatever, I'm pretty sure Kevin is the one who will benefit the most from the season, title or not. He may not get the $150K, but he sure did get name recognition and a fan base out of the deal.

Apparently the brothers you are talking about are locals. It's been all over the press here. Minus the "Gillespie go robbed" bit of course..

GD, I am sure you are totally correct with Kevin. Hell, watching him cook over these last weeks made me want to travel to Atlanta.

Listening to the edited Judge's Table, I was all set to have Bryan win as he seemed to win the day (and I was okay with that) an then WTF?

Well, Moonie, I will bet it will be a tough reservation to get these days. :-)

I get the feeling that, unless both Kevin and Michael utterly failed at the final challenge, which neither did, Bryan didn't stand a chance. He'd been solid, but with no quickfire wins, it would be hard to justify over either of those two. By having a really excellent final, he earned the honor of being part of the nominal final 2, but it was really always between Michael and Kevin (admittedly a toss-up, despite my personal preference for Kevin), and since Michael beat Kevin that day, he won it.

I'm just going to blame Preeti.

All of the episodes are currently up on u se n et, and available as b it t or rent, too... if you don't want to wait...

Maybe this should be in the vampire thread but since we're talking TV......We have every episode of True Blood Season 2 recorded EXCEPT the first one and they don't seem to be repeating it any time soon. Should I wait until I get #1 or just plow through and try to pick up what I missed. I mean, how much could 1 episode reveal?

I think you'll be okay. Just watch 2.1 when you can and enjoy the rest now.
