They're saying that over a million customers in the area are without power. My folks don't have power. There's a huge power line down by the law school. Most public schools are closed. SeaTac lost power in some terminals and a window broke in one concourse. One of the floating bridges is still closed. It is craziness! We had so many flickers last night that I was sure we would go dark. But no, I'm sitting here all powered up, watching bad daytime teevee, and surfing the interwebs - oh, and thinking about how lucky I am that I have power and that our flight isn't until tomorrow.

Glad to hear it. I'm actually starting to worry about my Dad. He recently retired up to your neck of the woods after a life of weather complaceny in San Bernardino. I'm not sure he's equipped to deal with cold weather and no power.

I once had a business meeting in Bothell once - never thought I'd hear that town's name again...

Today, I'm viewing the Lot through a self imposed NyQuil stupor (which is kind of like having dial-up, I suppose). I tried to ignore being sick for the last few days and it didn't work out so well. Today, my body has told me that I'm to stay in bed and rest if I care to make it to my gig tomorrow night. Being sick really sucks this time of year.

The sign at the city limits says something like "Welcome to Bothell - for a day or a lifetime." As you can imagine, the "Bot" is frequently obscured.

Bothell.

Actually, at last look, our old fellow Thespian, David G. was a professor at the UW branch there.

Anyone ever try to insert an "r"?

I did when you first posted it. I'd never seen the word before, and I filled in the missing letter.......

Double jeopardy. The storm hits here tomorrow.
