My creepy neighbor Norman Bates just rang my bell to compliment me on my Christmas lights. Uh thank you I guess?

Not for the easily offended religious folks. I found this quite funny (actually laughed out loud), but others may not find it as such (safe for work in the sense that there is not nudity, but some may take offense to it):

Astonishingly, that sign was put up by a church! (An Anglican one, and very progressive, but still, I was kind of surprised. Sounds like my kind of house o' worship.)

Why would people get offended by the thought that Joseph and Mary had sex? How else do they think Jesus's brothers and sisters came about?

I did a marathon of Christmas cookie baking today. Bill volunteered to clean-up the mess in the kitchen for me. I love that man!

I'm glad you're feeling up to baking MG, I know you were worried about it before. Did you get the boy to help? Mine tried but you've got to keep an eye on them, Z stole a rum ball!! I was rather surprised and so was he

I'm actually on a break from Kahlua balls now.

You know... I could relive fond memories of Cambria so much easier if you'd PM me those cookie recipes.... ;)

Learned tonight my cat likes broccoli. At least, she likes it if the dog is getting some. I cut it up into small pieces; the dog's better at crunching large chunks but kitty does better if they're smaller.

Words. So innocent lying there by themselves:

Bedtime, Sunday, Gulf, local, tonight, accumulation.

Then someone strings them together and look what happens......

Snow starting bedtime tonight, ending Sunday. A true Nor'easter with accumulations of 10-14 Inches very likely as moisture from the gulf runs into the already frigid air over the DC area.

So heed the power of words before you to fall victim to their curse.

Now where is that damn snow shovel.

Cadaverous Pallor 12-18-2009 09:25 AM

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....in DC.

After our horrid winter last year, Eric bought a monster snowblower and has been waiting for a chance to use it..... He finally did so the other day, when we got 6" of the white crap. He was a happy boy.
