I was on vacation last week so I came back to 100 plus e-mails and a big stack of unopened mail. I'm covering the work for other people who are on vacation and since so many are out I'm getting their phone calls. And they rolled out a new software version but did they train anyone to use it? That would be silly...

And next week is when we really get busy. Sigh.

I was on vacation last week as well, and I came back on Tuesday to over 200 emails! One of my co-workers was covering one of my duties for me while I was gone, but he screwed it up so badly that it was 3 times as much work to fix things than it would have been if I had just let it pile up until I got back. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Oh god, that poor, poor man. The sex can't possibly be worth living with 2 women.

reminds me of Nature's Wonderland:

"Now there's a real struggle fer survival - two stags 'r battlin' fer them cow elk. Maybe you folks can tell me, though: Does gittin' two women-folk mean yer the winner or the loser? Never could figure that un out."

Soooo.... we just got back from the vet. Over the weekend, Jack developed a hemotoma in his ear. Apparently, one of the side effects of his hypothyroidism is that he's prone to ear infections. Well, he got one and shook his head a little too violently and there you have it.

The vet opened up the hemotoma today and put in a little drainage tube, which has to stay in from 2-3 weeks. Therefore, the little guy has to wear an elizabethan collar. He's home now, and it's only 3 hours post-op. Other than the mild annoyance that the collar presents, he seems to be doing fine and not at all affected by the anesthetic. What a dog!

Awwww! Jack looks so cute - even with a big red ear!

Whenever one of my cats have to wear a collar, they always remind me of the Pixar Lamp.

Now, you need to edge the thing with lace and get him a pair of velvetine pantaloons.

Is Jack wearing something in a leopard print?

Actually, yes.
When he was rescued over the summer, he was only mostly housebroken (he still marks wherever he feels his scent is needed). We decided to wait until the thyroid problem is under control and he's secure in a three-dog house before we start trying to correct that. Hence, the leopard number.

Wait...you're telling me he's wearing a leopard print diaper?

Oh, don't act so surprised! We got the idea from you on your last visit.

(Photos of GD in his leopard print diaper will be available on the new LoT naughty photo site)
