I've been working on a new resume and cover letter for a position in my prior career field. On the one hand, I sure enjoyed that career more than I do my current one. On the other hand, it's kind of like pretending that the whole law school thing didn't happen. Not that I'm using that JD for anything other than TP as things are presently, but at least I had to have a recent degree to qualify for the fellowship. I'd qualify for this position solely on the basis of my experience in my prior career. Plus, it's located back in the PNW.

Sigh.

You're singing my song, sister! But there's a lot to be said for job satisfaction.

I've been spending a lot less time online this year. I want more time to do things I really love, so I'm not distracting myself by being online while working, so I can get my work done and then be off the computer in the evenings. So far, it's working out wonderfully! I'm actually getting things done around our home (made 3 sets of curtains on Saturday), and Ken and I have been playing board games on a nightly basis. It's so nice to just come home every night. I've figured out that I don't really need to stay "connected" all the time. :)

Lost power at 11:30AM...just got it back on! Woohoo!

Had fun playing Uno and grilling by candlelight.

So the river flowing through the parking structure at work today amused me. I think it was coming all the way from the roof.

I've been carting around a giant unsightly Boeing umbrella, thus ensuring that whenever I'm outside it isn't raining. Will the trend hold? We shall see.

Looks like today should be fun.....weather wise that is.
