Oh, and REALLY well done, Matt - I can't wait to see you in action (er, so to speak)

Just please, no comments about the horrible costume.

its makin me nuts. whats worse, I think its making the people around me nuts as well. poor bastards.

anyone have any tips to keep me on track? or at least to keep me from backsliding even more than I have? I'll be facing my first weekend sans cigs and fear just surrendering to it.

The stern disapproval of my girlfriend helped me get over the top. So I'll say it: "Don't be a p****." Also, leaving my smoker friends in Berkeley, where, in the mid 80s, smoking in bars and cafes was required by local ordinance helped immeasurably. So I would say avoid bars and other contexts where you would habitually light up. Keep busy.

Here's me on a happy day at work...

I quit nearly 2 and 1/2 years ago, and even now get the occasional nic fit. I keep a stash of the 2 mg Commit lozenges handy- it's kept me from backsliding, and I like them much better than the gum. (They last longer as well). I would always cheat when I quit in the past, and give up because I was convinced I couldn't do it. Believe me, if I can quit, anyone can! Best of luck to you, Jack.:snap::cool::snap:

I almost feel sorry for the Cowboys. Almost.

But not quite.
