I mean, how perfect is that? Usually it's "Ride 'em, Cowboy" isn't it? lol

For work? Seems a bit off to me for the office. I don't think I would take a mug insinuating that I like to **** my wife to the office , even if it's true.

But it is just a poster for a real John Wayne movie...

The executive director here thought it was hysterical. And it's the name of a real JW movie.

So the primary reason you have this mug on your desk is that you are a fan?

Nope. I bought it because I thought it was funny.

Tref 02-08-2010 03:51 PM

I find it hilarious that anybody would think the mug is edgy. That is the name of the movie.

Because of the obvious sexual innuendo, which to me seems odd to have in an office setting.

Interesting. Because, I assume, if a heterosexual man had this mug on his desk, the perceived sexual innuendo would magically disappear.

How about Rosie the Riveter and "We Can Do It"? I have that mug, and, trust me, no lesbians have gone out of their way to tell me I've been inappropriate.

But did GC buy it because of that sexual innuendo (finding it funny)? That's what I thought, or is there something else funny about it?

I'm not bothered by it, but I wouldn't have a "Bankers do it with interest" cup at work either. Though I have no idea what the tone is at GC's office. But it's the kind of thing I figure it is easier to just avoid since even if it is a humorless troll that eventually causes trouble it isn't trouble that I'm willing to run into.

I'm not sure why lesbians would be particularly implicated in "We can do it" but if you showed it around saying "it's funny because it could also mean having sex!" then you'd probably eventually run into trouble.
