*clutches pearls* Well, there's serviceable, and then there's fashionable. I would never wear last season's tiara.

Hey- it's now our turn for an ice-storm! Well, ice glazing would be more accurate. Woke up to the sound of crystals hitting the roof, and I guess the roads are a mess. It's supposed to continue all day, and then warm up tonight and turn into slush. Very weird weather.

Okay, alllll morning I've been trying to figure out why Wendy was a member of the WDFHC and what it stood for.....I thought it was the Walt Disney Fag Hag Club. :D And I'm a member! Didn't even know! Perhaps I should have come back and checked on my own thread a little sooner.....

Funniest post ever....especially when looking at that avatar that never fails to crack me up!!! :D

Warm up Wendy!!! We're heading out after lunch......if I ever make lunch, that is. ;) It'll be my first outing in three days. It was raining like crazy until a few minutes ago. Ugh.

Lol, CLaire! I know- Gn2's avatar is the best- he must never change it. :D

Glad you guys are all about to get out of the house today!! <<doing a celebratory cabbage patch for ya>> :p

And Claire, thanks for making me spit my coffee out in an uncontrolled fit of laughter over your "walt disney fag hag" line!! :D

I just came back inside from meeting with a roofer and I am HOT! No, not that kind of hot, warm Hot. It's in the 80's here. I feel for the ice storms and such, but I'd really prefer some WEATHER, people! 80-something degrees is NOT "weather".

wendybeth 01-17-2005 01:42 PM

Claire? If you're hitting Starbucks, I'd like a 16 oz triple shot sugar-free vanilla latte, iced. Thanks, you're the best!

Oh, poor NA! I almost felt just the slightest twinge of sympathy for you, until I realised I am stuck at home with a pouty child who wanted to go to Claire's today to shop for earrings. She is sulking mightily on the couch right now.

As long as there is a Lounge of Tomorrow, there will be a Commodore Swank!

Hahaha, yes, we went there today....the girls had hot chocolates and cookies, we sat out on the patio (covered, thank goodness....the place was packed) and I sipped my pumpkiny goodness (okay, slurped) and was so grateful to be out of the house again that I didn't care that it was 40 degrees out. :D Tell Tory not to pout about coming to my house to shop for earrings.....we weren't home and my earrings aren't for sale anyway. Oh? You meant the store at the mall.....duh.

And Tina, I did the running man (mentally) when I pulled the car out of the driveway and didn't plummet down the hill to my death. :D

Well, we're back from Seattle. It was pretty cold. When we arrived on Saturday, it was raining, which turned into ice pellets (like 1/8 inch, if that big), and even a few flakes that never reached the ground. The fountain in front of the hotel in Redmond was freezing over. Up in some of the hillier areas in the NW it was icy/slushy. But that's as bad as it got. Sunday it was chilly, but I'd say no colder than mid-30s, and not a drop of rain. Today, it rained pretty good through the afternoon, but again not all that cold.

We did hear on Saturday that flights to Portland were being canceled/diverted to Sea-Tac because of the ice.
