Announcement:
The Kingdom of Loathing
An Adventurer is You!
KoL at Comic Con!For the first time ever, Asymmetric Publications is going to take a stab at shameless self-promotion! (The self-promotion part is new, the shamelessness isn't.) Despite their best efforts to make the process impossible (we think they've been using some kind of time machine to send us forms about a week after they're due) we'll have a booth at the San Diego Comic Con, July 20-23. We are going to be in Booth #1017 (whatever that means). Come see us, hang out, and maybe get some nifty stuff! - Jick and Mr. Skullhead will be about... Meet them! Have them sign your... souvenir program?
- We'll be debuting some new T-shirt designs... Gnaugas! Hot pink disco banditas!
- We'll be displaying (though probably not selling yet) some tiny plastic figurines... Bugbears, saber-toothed limes, and more!
- The Pretentious Artist will also be selling his wares (t-shirts and a new line of tiny plastics)!
- You can snag a free copy of "KoL the Home Game" -- an elaborate 16-page choose-your-own-adventure!
- We'll also be giving away some small in-game souvenirs to anybody who comes to visit us. Shameless!
- Extra exclamation points! Just for you!
- And last, but not least, hot booth girls! And, uh, hot booth guys, too!
If you've never been, Comic Con is really, really cool. I mean, it's cool even if you have been, but that's beside the point. It's more than just comic books -- exhibitors from all kinds of other genres of things show up: video games, toys, internet sites, TV shows, books, movies, independent artists, and so on. Some folks get dressed up as their favorite characters, and at times you feel like you are in the Mos Eisley Cantina. (Han shot first, y'know.) Besides the exhibitors, there are tons of panel discussions, demos, and whatnot. It's really fun. Last year Skully met Joss Whedon and Seth Green. Just sayin'.
We'll make an effort to keep y'all updated with any more information that comes our way. (But, given the whole time-machine-nefariousness, that means we'll likely make an update some time in August.) Hope to see you there!
