It's all a matter of taste, really. I find, for instance, a stellar vocabulary to be shag-a-riffic so the muscle pictures don't do anything for me.

Yes, I guess that all depends on what you want a hunk for. If I'm dreaming about a shag, it's all about the shag. Heck, we all have friends to talk to... :D

Oh, no, baby. You've got it all wrong. For me, the shag is also about the words and the ideas, not just the visual. Nothing dampens the drawbridge like someone saying "protuberant" or "egregious." Or any other interesting word. And not even in a sexual context. Intelligent coversation makes me want to boink.

Case in point, one of our hottest nights followed an extremely stimulating coversation about the downfall and regrettable loss of the studio system. After our brains boiling into each other's for a half hour of hashing out our ideas of why the industry is the way it is today, and how the old system can improve us as writers on a personal level, we were hotter for each other than we'd ever been. (And we're pretty hot for each other.)

Seeing porn is so-so, but reading erotica is swell.
Watching naked men dance is meh, but watching a play that gets my brain working, and then talking about it with my partner? Boinkage, baby. Boinkage abounds.

Perhaps this has something to do with the visual v. verbal turn-on that is supposedly gender-specific. I also think it's from my personal experience that the smarter the lover, the better and more interesting the sex.

This is going to be my new catch phrase.

Yeah, I'll back you up on this one. It's all about the mind games for me. I've known plenty of guys who I did not find physically attractive at all....but after a few geeky conversations, I realize I'd totally jump them.

Gay guys sure do love the abs, don't they? Am I weird if I admit that visible abs freak me out a bit? Muscled shoulders, mmm, but muscled stomach, weird.

However, when searching for jpgs it's all about that intent stare with soft eyes. And clothes on. I mean, I gotta have a shirt to grab so I can pull him closer, right?

That's what belt loops are for. :p

Oh yes, I agree. Hubby and I will often say big words to each other, followed with the echo "take me now!" It's a call and response thang. Goes back to early dating and falling in love turn-ons! :D Young-uns can stop throwing up....Now.

Less talk, more pics.

Oh wait, we've had nuthing but silly pics for a page or so. Um, less pics, more talk.

Ya know, the great thing about photos is you can imagine all you want. Who says the hunk with the muscled shoulders and washboard abs is not a clever conversationalist? Yes, I know he's not soliliquizing in the photograph, but a little imagination is all it takes. It's a fantacization process anyway - responding arousalish to a photo.

Dreamy eyes? Absolutely a plus.

Clothing more sexy than nudity? Often the case. I find a good combination of sharp dress and sultry undress works best.

Muscled shoulders and muscled abs? Well, too much muscle and - yeah - the freak show sets in. But there's nothing freaky about muscled abs ... just because most guys don't naturally have 'em. Muscles are good anywhere it's natural to have muscles if you move your lazy butt. Maybe abs are especially yummy 'cause - while a lot of guys really do have them - they're hidden under fat that all but the most un lazy guys have. Visible abs are an indicator of healthy lifestyle and high energy (or, well, maybe just gymbunny vanity).

Besides, when it comes down to it, there's only one muscle that we gay guys really care about.
