Sactown groupies sing this song, Do-Dah! Do-Dah!

Oooh, a meet where the guests of honor will spend more than 45 min, will go on rides with us, sink boats with us, and possibly let us honor them with saved prime spots for the best fireworks show the world has ever known.

Plus I can't wait to get me some more of that inexplicable SacTown twang - that just doesn't come through in posts. It will be uber nice to visit with the S.T. clan again, too!

Call me an idiot (YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!) but I thought this boat sinking I've been hearing about was some kind of code talk for something else.

You actually sink boats? As in fill with water so they sink to the bottom and the ride has to be closed and evacuated? Or something else?

You're half right. We sink boats to the bottom - of the shallow canal. It's nowhere near deep enough to get water into the boat. Sometimes this results in CM's hauling us out of the boat - sometimes the CMs can shove us along - sometimes it only sticks for a second and then the current pulls us along.

Then there's that thing we do on Pirates where we put the heaviest people in the first rows and lean forward on drops. This causes a big splash getting at least a few drops of water on everyone on the boat - and a tidal wave over the front end, which sometimes makes it into the boat, soaking the pants of the front row. Don't know if that qualifies as sinking either.

No-one ever comes to Sydney instead. *Boo hoo*

Just because we don't have any theme parks - that's so theme-park-ist of you all.

I can give you a dead rat, and a string to swing it on......

Allright, I give you all permission to have fun without me. :p

BUT

Don't forget to have a Corn Dog for me. :(

Lashbear, I've been doing everything short of mailing myself in a box to Australia to get back to Oz (there's a wonderful new Intamin steel coaster at WBMW), and I'd definitely go back to Sydney if I got the chance - even without a theme park - Sydney is one of my favorite cities on Earth.
