What's changed? Last I was there, black was the color preferred by locals and it was all the American tourists in white.

It's not the color, it is the style of shoe.. Sport shoes are to be worn for sport and not for being out and about. Same goes for sweats. It is a typically American practice.

I'm pretty sure it's because of how I walk. I have another pair in a different style that are so similar to Spokes and I can wear all day at DL. I really need to try on the different ballet styles and see if any of those cover my toes. Not that I need new shoes...
