I don't believe I have ever seen Blue Velvet. I loved the one Cemetery Screening I went to and we have nothing planned for Saturday.

Lemme talk to Susan (or if someone wants to call her at home and convince her, I have no problem with that).

Blue Velvet is Sunday's screening. Which is why I'm a bit hesitant, that's pretty late to be driving back from LA on a Sunday for me.

mousepod 07-01-2008 10:53 AM

Oh, shoot. I'm picking up H at LAX on Sunday night, so no go for me.

innerSpaceman 07-01-2008 10:54 AM

Oh bah.

Kevy Baby 07-01-2008 10:57 AM

How about Easy Rider on Saturday?

LSPoorEeyorick 07-01-2008 11:25 AM

How about Gold Diggers of 1933 the next Saturday?

Two words: Busby Berkeley.

innerSpaceman 07-01-2008 11:31 AM

I'm really not so keen on Easy Rider. Just does nothing for me.

I'm up for Golddiggers next Saturday ... but it seems to me (though I'm alleging no conspiracy) they're putting the more appealing movies on Sunday this season, further alienating me from this once-great and budding summer tradition.

mousepod 07-01-2008 11:32 AM

I might be interested in that one.

It's weird, though. I have almost all of the (past and present) Cemetery Screening movies on DVD. I think my decision to see a movie has to be based on the kind of crowd that the movie will attract.

innerSpaceman 07-01-2008 11:34 AM

The only crowd I will avoid at the cemetery is the horror movie crowd. They absolutely RUINED a screening of The Haunting.

But I've never had a bad crowd experience with any other film (though I have heard of other bad experiences from others. I guess I would avoid any film that encourages (even more) drunken shenanigans at the cemetery.)

Is the cemetary screening dog-friendly?
