Memorial Day Weekend Plans?

Working working working. Thur thru Sun right now closing shifts but for Saturday. Oh well at least i have money for things and bills which is good to be employeed. I do miss Mon thru Fri but oh well...those who have off have fun for me...i hate being a responsible adult.

You won't catch this chick on skates. I used to love skating, but when I sprained both of my ankles (at the same time), that was the end of any future skating. I did try at my 20 year reunion. I put the skates on, stood up, and sat right back down and took them off.

I have a good friend on the Bakersfield Rollergirls. I saw her today (she is also the artist behind my claws). She really put the pressure on me to go.

All of my plans for Friday/Saturday have changed. Boy no longer has baseball practice Friday, so I don't have to worry about that, just go to Chuy's and enjoy myself as much as possible with a giant, overprotective 11 year old.

Saturday morning, we are still heading over to The Old People's house. Satuday afternoon, 3ish, I get to meet Dawn at a sporting goods store to get her son and mine some cleats. She wants to pay, so I will let her. Saturday night it is the Derby.

Nice day for a BBQ. Isolated thunderstorms, high of 63, low of 49.

That'll just make for fun experiences that aren't available when weather cooperates.

My friend invited me to a martini party today! Yay!

I didn't go out Friday night. My friend called so say that she wasn't able to go. I didn't mind, I didn't really feel like going out.

Yesterday was fun. I really enjoyed the Derby. I liked that they had the rules listed on the program. It made it easy to figure out what was going on. Boy played in the mini arcade for the entire game. Next time he will spend the night at The Old People's and I will go alone to the game and then be able to go to the after party at a bar.

We just got home from seeing Prince Caspian.

Tomorrow (today, as it's late) we are having my sister Bobbi's b-day party. We have it every year on Memorial Day, and every year it rains. So, I'm guessing it's gonna rain tomorrow. (Today). Still, Happy Birthday to my sis!:cheers:
