I agree about Tom winning the challenge no matter what. Steph stayed up there long enough to impress (unlike Coby) but knew she'd never beat Tom and jumped off for food. I probably would have done the same....although I was kind of surprised, seeing how competitive Steph is. Good point, mousepod, about moving the target to her back....you really don't want to be seen as stronger than Tom at this point (not that that's possible!).

Doh!

Well don't I feel the fool. I came in late last night (after the Nationals opener, go nats..) and did a quick run through of last nights survivor skipping along to get to the immunity challange and vote. I totally missed the whole feast thing. So I guess Steph was not all THAT hungry.

Stratigically I still think it was a good move. If she had out lasted Tom, which was possible becuase the guy had to be dealing with a hangover (unless the challenge was well after the drinking party...) it would have sent a dangerous message to the rest of the tribe.

They were only out there for an hour or so before it was dark. Tom should have been over any hangover by then (he was the first one up in the morning, after all, so it couldn't have been that bad).

I am looking forward to the episode tonight. It looks from the previews like they will finally penalize the first person who bails on the immunity challange. Or was it the reward challange?

Though the wife told me Coby was voted off, I haven't watched the episode from last week....it was on in the hospital room, but I was still pretty out of it and on narcotics, so I'm not recalling much about it.

I'm looking forward to it as well...I really like this season with all the twists and kinda unexpected things they are doing...Guess we'll see tonight if Tom and Ian are true to their word and protect Steph...they'd be smart to do it!

Totally, the 3 of them have to stick together. They are all huge targets and the only way to protect themselves is to stay surrounded by other targets.

Freakin best Survivor Tribal Council EVER!!!!

And that's about all I have to say about that!!!!!!!!!!!

I was laughing at the looks on the faces tonight! I was thrilled that Janu quit. It totally messed up the plans of the guys. I think she knew exactly what she was doing, she just wasn't aware that she could do it.

Claire 04-21-2005 10:57 PM

Okay. We want Stephenie to stay in it. We're big fans....and my husband thinks she's the hottest thing ever.

But not like this. Jeff totally twisted and manipulated Janu's words at TC. We were SO pissed. I thought it was a shady TC and we were NOT happy at all. Even my husband who wants to continue to check out Stephenie's abs for the next month wasn't cool with the way it went down. Total crap.

scaeagles 04-22-2005 06:07 AM

yeah, i thought Jeff manipulated the situtation, most certainly. Not cool.

I liked Steph in the underdog role, but it looks like she's making a power play next week. Although I can't blame her - she has good senses and knew she was on the block, so it's not like she's betraying Tom or Ian.

I did find it funny that she was again on the losing team in a challange.
