Could be. But then, Bob being the only other person that's been to exile, then it had to have been him or Sugar. And again, who would give Sugar credit for being smart enough?

Very good point.

I have a feeling she is not quite as dingy as she is acting.

Then she's acting stupid for the confessionals when no other player is around, because half of the dumb things she's said have been there.

Wow, for the first time in a long time, the person I liked actually won!

So, I think we can dispense with spoilers.

I'm glad Bob won. I'm sad Kenny didn't know when to stop gaming. He really made some good moves (short of flat calling their bluff, he countered the fake immunity about as well as he could), but from that point on he went off the deep end.

Corinne makes me want to hurt things. Jeff nailed her when he caught her dropping show-biz jargon, she just wants her face on TV and will say whatever to keep it there.

Randy is jonvn.

RimmerAce isn't "faking" the accent, but he probably tried a little to hard to develop it while he lived there.

And I've finally admitted to myself that I will always watch this show, no matter how bad it is.

Yeah, it wasn't a great season by any means, but there were still enough twists and diabolical schemes to keep my interest and I'll likely be right there when the next season debuts.

It doesn't even matter anymore if there are enough twists and schemes. I'm in. I'm totally fascinated with the evolution of the show and I can't bear to not know how it will continue to change until it eventually dies.

GD noticed there was no car giveaway this time. No curse of the car.

The reunion shows seemed extra meta. Yes, they always claim that the editing gives them a character, but this time the talk on that was really strong. I found myself thinking what a shame it was that we have no idea what really happened out there.

"Runaround Bob" with a triangle thingy written on the votes. WTH does that mean? We don't know, which kind of sucks. I know I don't want to see every minute of the 39 days, but I do want to know something so important they'd put it on the final vote.

The only reason I'd ever want to go on this show is to see what "character" I'd get. In a way, I felt for Corinne (until she went over the top) in that I'd probably be pretty pissed that stupid Sugar did so well. In the end though, Corinne was a 1 dimensional joke.

It's official - the first half of the season always sucks. They need to come up with a better way to present that.

I agree on the first half of the season. I never enjoy it until the merge when I get to know the people a bit better. By the reunion show I hardly recognize the first 5-6 voted off.

I was wondering about the car thing.....perhaps the auto companies thought with their current dire financial straights it would have been bad PR to do that this time around?

We haven't watched the show (or any show) "on time" lately, relying on TiVo and carefully avoiding conversations that contain spoilers. Thursday's and Sunday's shows were sitting unwatched, waiting for Heather and I to find a few spare hours. Yesterday morning, on the way to work, I turned on the Howard Stern Show - not worried because Howard had given up on the show a couple of years back. Within the first 10 minutes, someone calls in and says "A guy from Maine won Survivor last night." Grrrrr.

So we watched the last 4 hours last night with me knowing that Bob would win.

And I loved it. Like Jen, I think we missed some "important" stuff - but I'll give the editors a pass - they did a great job. Sad that Kenny went haywire toward the end - and it looked like he completely withdrew into his nerdy self again at the reunion. I'm delighted that Bob won.

As an aside, I'm a big fan of the writer/director Daniel Waters (Heathers, Demolition Man). Apparently "Sugar" has a small role in Sex and Death 101, which came out last year. I look forward to checking that out.
