Yeah, it occurred to me after I posted that the only reason they'd do it is if they had a financial interest should the responsible party not be able to pay. Since it's not like you could make a claim against your own insurance, they've got no reason to care one way the other.

Hope T gets back to health ASAP.

Yikes Wolfy - how horrible! Hope Twitter gets well soon

First of all, thank GOD Twitter wasn't hurt worse than he was. The bite of a pit is not an enjoyable one.

Now, about the pet sitter....

Is she under 18 or is she a professional dog walker that would have the appropriate insurance coverage? Was she being paid to do this job by the owners. If she is a professional or works for a professional company, you should be fully covered. However, if the owners of the dog hired a teenager to walk their dog, then they are liable for anything that happens.

We have had insurance claims in the past but we are fully insured as a pet sitting company.

And, folks, this is why you hire a professional and not a teenager to take care of your pets!

ZOO CONCERTS for the summer!

Jewel
Jimmy Cliff
Jamie Cullum
Levon Helm
B52s
Chris Isaak
Pink Martini (2 nights)
A Prairie Home Companion

There is the possibility of one or two more that are still in negotiations. The scary part is that all but the first couple of these are in August. It's going to be a long month!

I'm so sorry Wolfy! I hope Twitter has a speedy recovery.

Poor Twitter. Get better soon!

I was just outside. I think I heard someone shouting "Auntie Em, Auntie Em" in the distance...

There, I fixed it.

There's a big difference between hiring a teen to clean a litter box and hiring a teen to walk your beast.

That said, what can an owner do differently when the leash breaks and the dog is hellbent on disemboweling another dog?

Dealing with jerks is actually pretty easy. So I'd like to thank the person who just met for a new project for being pretty clearly a jerk. He may think he's getting to me but he's not and his jerkiness does nothing to make my life more difficult since, as I said, dealing with jerks is easy.

The hard ones are the jerks who are good at acting like non-jerks. Those're the ones who'll trip me up.

As clearly testified by a person who just posted in a chat room to vent about it......

:D
